Under Eye Fillers Orlando

“You look tired.”

No one wants to hear that phrase. If you’re tired of looking... well... tired, under-eye fillers can get rid of those dark, puffy circles with a single injection that lasts years. People are often asked if they’ve had enough sleep because they have bags under their eyes. A more rested and youthful appearance is possible with under-eye fillers.

What are Under Eye Fillers?

An under-eye filler is a cosmetic procedure that uses hyaluronic acid (Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero) to treat dark circles under your eyes. Deep tear troughs can cause shadows that mirror dark circles.  Also known as a tear trough, under-eye fillers can help with a tired or sunken appearance and deep indentations. Other reasons that can cause issues with your eyes include genetic predisposition that results in hyperpigmentation or allergies like rosacea that show blood vessels.

The effect of having bags under your eyes is often underlined by loss of volume in the cheek region making blood vessels appear closer to the surface of your skin. Your eyes can look tired and older once the skin around your eyes become thinner. In fact, the skin under your eyes is among the thinnest on your body. By injecting a filler, the thicker fat pads under your skin can be stimulated. There are many hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers available who provide similar results but act differently.

Under Eye Filler Procedure

Under eye filler procedure usually takes less than 15 minutes and can be done with topical anesthesia. A cannula - small metal straw - is used for the injections to decrease potential bruising for you. Cannula injections are very safe around the eye and in the lips because the risk of injecting into blood vessels is essentially zero, giving you the best under eye fillers Orlando has to offer.

Here are some of the most well-known and effective HA fillers for under-eyes and tear trough:

  • Belotero Balance: this is the most common filler I use for the tear trough. That’s because it is not stiff and does not have a tendency to lump up. It also is the least likely to have a blue discoloration that can occur with HA products.
  • Juvederm Volbella & Vollure: these fillers offer different options such as Volbella is softer and great for shallow injections whereas Vollure is stiffer and good for deeper injections under the eyes.
  • Restylane: Restylane has a balance of being cohesive (firm), and long lasting, and its ability to be tailored for deep or shallow injections.

The goal is to provide you with the best, long-lasting results that you will be happy with. Your goals are my goals. You will be able to see a positive change in the appearance of your eyes after your procedure. I make a concerted effort to be gentle with the tissue I operate on for safety reasons and to shorten your recovery time. Kindness matters.

Under Eye Fillers FAQs

Am I a candidate for under eye fillers?

If you lack volume under your eyes, show symptoms of dark circles or a hollow appearance or have moderate-to-severe wrinkles, you are a good candidate for under eye fillers. This procedure will also benefit those that are annoyed at looking tired all the time or have a hollow appearance.

What are the risks?

Under-eye fillers are safe treatments. There is a risk of bruising, redness and swelling for a day or two, as well as risks related to injecting into a blood vessel. Again, the risk of blood vessel injections is eliminated with a cannula, so the risks are very low. The real “risk” is that it just won’t be absolutely perfect. It may require several treatments (rare) or it is possible that, on the other hand, too much filler is used (even more rare). If that happens, HA can be easily dissolved (I have never had to do this before in the tear trough!) Our goal is to give you the best under eye fillers Orlando has to offer.

Are under-eye fillers safe?

Yes, an under-eye filler is a very safe procedure, especially when a cannula is used. The risk of eye injury is eliminated with a blunt cannula because there is no sharp object being used.

What are the results of eye fillers?

The results of an under-eye filler can last up to a year or more. Some fillers can last a little longer depending on how a person absorbs the injection.
