Cheek Augmentation Orlando

Dr. Oppenheimer — @RealdrOPP

Sadly, everything droops when we age.

If you are looking to add volume and a more lifted, youthful profile to your facial features, I can help with a cheek augmentation procedure. Cheeks lose their volume and begin to sag with age. Cheek augmentation is one option that can help remedy sunken cheeks. My goal is to bring harmony and symmetry to your facial profile, while giving you the best cheek augmentation Orlando has to offer. Looking overdone is not an option in my clinic. We want to use the LEAST amount of filler possible to get the best result.

What is Cheek Augmentation?

Through the use long lasting hyaluronic acid filler (Voluma), cheek augmentation improves facial features by producing a fuller and more sculpted appearance.

Malar, or cheek augmentation can provide a more attractive appearance with long-lasting results (around 2 years). Malar augmentation provides improved definition in your face with increased volume and contours to your cheeks.

Cheek Augmentation Procedure

Your procedure depends on your choice between implants, fat transfer or dermal fillers. It can take less than an hour and up to a few hours depending on what kind of procedure you decide on.

Malar augmentation with Voluma takes less than 15 minutes. By making a needle poke puncture in the skin just beneath the cheek, a cannula--thin metal tube or straw--is used to deliver the HA filler. By using a cannula, the pain is much less than a needle.

There is also much less risk of injecting into a blood vessel, which could otherwise damage the skin or the eye. Bruising is also kept to an absolute minimum with the cannula technique. There are a variety of dermal fillers available, including Juvederm, Radiesse and Restylane. The longest lasting and most powerful is Voluma, which can achieve results up to 2 years after treatment.

Cheek Augmentation FAQs

Am I a candidate for cheek augmentation?

If you are looking to add volume to your cheeks or have more defined and contoured cheekbones, you are a good candidate for cheek augmentation. You may have lost the contour in your cheeks due to simply going through the aging process.

What are the risks of cheek augmentation?

A cheek augmentation with HA fillers (like Voluma) is a safe procedure with very few risks. I take all the necessary precautions to ensure your safety. Most critical of these is the use of a cannula, or metal tube to perform the injections. By using a blunt tipped cannula, the risk of damage to the skin, bruising, and injury to the eye and surrounding blood vessels is essentially zero. At Oppenheimer Plastic Surgery, we strive to give you the best cheek augmentation Orlando has to offer.

Can cheek implants be removed?

If you decide that you are not happy with your results or no longer want the implants, they can be removed since cheek augmentation is a reversible procedure.

Will there be a scar?

Since the access point is only a needle poke, there is no scarring from malar augmentaiton with Voluma.
